Design Systems

A Design System That Scales With Your Product, Not Against It.

We build the token layer, component library, and documentation that keep design and engineering speaking the same language from the first sprint through the hundredth.

What Does a Design System Project With Us Look Like?

We start from your existing codebase and design files, not a blank canvas. The deliverable is a working system your team can own: tokens, components, documentation, and a process for extending it without breaking it.

We build for the engineers who will implement it and the designers who will use it. The documentation ships alongside the components, not as an afterthought.

  • Token architecture that maps to your code variables
  • Components built for every state, not just the happy path
  • Documentation written for the people doing the work
  • A contribution process so the system grows without breaking

Most Design Systems Die in a Wiki

A Notion doc with color tokens is not a design system. We build systems people actually use: connected to code, maintained alongside the product, and extended by the teams shipping it.

what we do

Design System Services, Built to Last.

We build everything from the token layer to the contribution guidelines: the parts that keep your product coherent as it grows, connected to how your team actually ships.

Token Architecture

How the system is structured: naming conventions, tier hierarchy (global, alias, component), and the token architecture that maps directly to CSS custom properties or your platform’s variable system.

Component Specification

The full component specification: anatomy, variants, states, interactions, and the behavior rules that govern how each component responds to content and data conditions it did not expect.

Visual Language and Tokens

The visual language codified as tokens: color, typography, spacing, radius, shadow, and motion. Everything a designer can change, every value an engineer can trace to a decision.

Component Library in Code

The component library implemented in React and Storybook, with each component wired to the token layer so a token change propagates without touching the components individually.

Documentation and Contribution

The contribution workflow, review process, versioning approach, and the plain-language documentation that makes it possible for a designer or engineer new to the team to extend the system without breaking it.

Mobile Token Sets

iOS and Android token sets and native component specs, written to platform conventions so your mobile team is extending a shared system, not translating a web one.

How We Build a Design System

Four phases, each with a concrete deliverable. We do not move to the next phase until you have approved what came out of the last one.

Audit and inventory

We audit your existing codebase, design files, and component inventory. What exists, what is consistent, what contradicts itself, and where the biggest gaps are between design and code.

Architecture and scope

We define the token structure, naming conventions, and the component scope: which components go in the system first, in what order, and at what level of completeness.

Build in parallel

We build the token layer, the Figma library, and the code components in parallel so the deliverables are connected from the start, not retrofitted after.

Document and hand over

We document each component, write the contribution process, and run a handoff session so the teams using the system know how to extend it without waiting for us.
